H&SA Commissioning Special Interest Group

This group is aimed at Local Authority and Health commissioners, strategic planners and care managers.

The purpose of the groups will are to share experience and learning on a range of relevant subjects suggested by the group’s attendees.

The agenda items  for this meeting stand as: 

  • DoLS/MCA Cheshire West
  • Exempt accommodation refresh and implications.
  • Impacts of ISF’s on standards of accommodation
  • Future housing commissioning intentions
  • Managing voids creatively

Suggestions for the agenda from the last meeting:
  • Developing partnerships with housing providers
  • Considering larger models, including mixed provision
  • Developing short term/step down type services
  • DFGs – inconsistency of response in connection to shared properties
  • Attracting capital and use of capital grants
  • Housing benefit –approaches to uncertainty around excluded and exempt rents
  • Winterbourne View Joint Improvement Programme
