Thiswas the most important conference of the year for people working in thehousing and supported living sector for people with learningdisabilities.

The conference was about how organisations, peoplewith learning disabilities and families can work together. It’s abouthow we can widen our thinking so people get the housing and support theyneed to live ordinary and equal lives.

Workshops included:
  • Personal health budgets
  • Social care reform
  • Individual Service Funds in action
  • Welfare reform and the impact on supported living
  • Using assistive technology in supported living
  • Enabling more ordinary lives in supported living
  • A co-operative approach to creating more housing opportunities
  • Experts by experience – people with learning disabilities assessing service quality with the CQC
  • New ways of commissioning.
